"American Spirit" The Paranormals

This is a family affair. My father and brother made this music video at Sutton Place Productions and my other brother is the lead singer and drummer for The Paranormals (kick ass Nashville rock band). My brother-in-law fills out the guitar, Also my father lent his slide guitar skills to this track. I make an appearance at the 2:00 mark (I'm the dude with the black glasses).

First Bat Mitzvah

I shot my first Bat Mitzvah today. Oddly enough it was an early party and wrapped by 6 PM. Apparently the passage to womanhood is accompanied by a party nicer than most Hollywood after parties, but I digress. I was sad to see a room full of kids dancing to some of the most awful music to come out in the last year, and see them look totally puzzled when Thriller came on. I felt old.

But when you have a microphone you can cover it up.

I often feel that I missed my calling to be a flamboyant hair metal superstar, and I used to blame it on not having a access to Cher's personal wardrobe. However, my problem may have stemmed from the lack of vocal training I had in the art of glam singing. If I had a time machine, I would go back in time and give my younger self this video so I could change my life forever.

They were Ninja Turtles who had run amuck.

"You heard it here first folks, a rat named Splinter is the hero of this show."
-Jheri Curl Mullet Guy

Nothing surprises me with media produced by far right Christian groups, but this type of extreme and ridiculous analysis of late eighties toys really takes the cake.
